Würzburg can easily be reached by plane from three different airports:
Frankfurt (FRA)
Nürnberg (NUE)
Munich (MUC)
From Frankfurt, direct train connections are available provided by the German Railways (Deutsche Bahn), travel time is 1.5h. From Munich (travel time 3h) or Nurnberg (travel time 1.5h) airport, you may need to change trains once or twice. Train tickets can be bought on-line (https://www.bahn.com/en/view/index.shtml).
